I really like the way files organized on GoodNotes similar to folders on a computer, rather than a nested list on the sidebar. I also like the layout of all the tools at the top of every open document, which some others have found cluttered but I find handy.

If you highlight a sentence, the highlight shows up behind the text instead of building a layer on top of it. Finally, the one-time payment makes me feel like the app is a good deal for students on a budget.

The caveat is that there really is a steep learning curve, and that because I have relied on highlighting – since re-reading is so marginally diminutive in returns for the time cost. I have to really be very picky which nuggets of info I can add to my Mindmap or else I risk the chance of overstudying and remembering fewer important details.
